Huddleson Linens’ Seagram Placemat takes inspiration from Mark Rothko’s commission to decorate a room in the Four Seasons restaurant of the Seagram Building in Manhattan. Rothko developed a new composition of paintings with “closed space” for this project. The commission was never installed; Rothko eventually felt the venue was inappropriate for his art. The Seagram Placemat is an artful stage for your plate setting, with dense blue-black coloring and textural brush strokes. Made of 100% Italian linen.
